Summer Chip-in 2010

 The Chip-in will normally be played on Thursday evenings. Bill Betts & Trevor Francis will oversee the running this year.
The first Chip-in will be on Friday 16th April as the Seniors have an away day on Thursday.
        The Chip-in will be open to Men, Ladies & Juniors.
Prizes will be awarded for each competition and an order of merit will also be run over the series.
Along side this we will be running a Chip-in  Eclectic competition with prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places.

Each competition will be followed by a meal & prize giving.
Entry fee will be £6.50 which covers the meal and competition entry fee.
Men will be playing from the Yellow Tees & Ladies will be playing from the Red Tees however the Front 9 hole qualifiers will be played from the Yellow Tees ( Men ) and the Gold Tees ( Ladies ) as Congu regulations.
This years competition will be played off 1/2 handicap, adjustments to the scores will be made for result purposes
to account for the difference between the SSS for the men's yellow tees (65)  and the ladies red tees (68).
The difference is 3 shots however we are only playing 9 holes so this will be taken into account.

Because of the above adjustment and the way in which CONGU state the calculation must be applied this will result in
Ladies handicaps being adjusted up  in a Medal competition.
and the Men's handicaps being reduced  in a Stableford competition.
This calculation is applied after all scores have been entered and all players should play off 1/2 of their correct playing handicap.

In 2010 all Front 9 Stablefords will be qualifying and run as per CONGU 9 hole Qualifying  rules.
