New for winter 2009-2010
New for the winter is the
Sunday Stroll Up. These fun competitions will be run on Sundays when there is
not a club competition though not every Sunday. These fun competitions are aimed
at encouraging all members to participate and join in. The Stroll Up will be run
by Sharon as Social Secretary from 15th November through to mid March A sheet will be posted on the notice board and members can choose what time they would like to play and also who they play with. The entry fee is set at £3.00 and players are to put the entry money into an envelope on the bar and collect a scorecard, once they have competed they should ensure they and their marker sign their card a their score is entered into the Touch Screen PC. The format will change from week to week. Stablefords, Medals, Blind Pairs, Betterballs, Team Competitions, Yellow Ball Competitions, String Competitions, Par/Bogey Competitions etc will be used with the emphasis on fun. If conditions allow some competitions may be qualifying. Entry Fee £3.00 to include Tea or Coffee on arrival. Because of the fun nature of some of the formats which may not be covered by the rules of golf Sharon will liaise with Trevor on any rules issues. Sharon will have the final say on any ruling issues not covered by the rules of golf and her decision will be final on any matter that may arise not covered by the rules of golf. The Committee will not get involved in any rules issues that may arise in these competitions. These
competitions are open to all members with or without a handicap, A "Best
of Series" will be run with a players best 5 rounds
