CONGU UNIFIED HANDICAPPING SYSTEM 2008-2011

From January 1st 2010 any golfer who did not return at least 3 qualifying score cards in the previous 12 months will have their handicap marked "I" inactive. As a result they will be unable to play in some Club Competitions.
The "I" will be removed once 3 Qualifying Cards have been returned to the Handicap Committee.

The different ways to Maintain your Handicap

1.    Clause 20 - Play in Qualifying Competitions.

       Check your Members Diary/Website for forthcoming 9 and 18 hole qualifying competitions.

2.    Clause 21 - Submit SUPPLEMENTARY scorecards.

         This option is for members who returned 6 or less qualifying scores in the previous year.
          Up to 10 supplementary scorecards (Stroke play) can be submitted per year,
          but only one can be entered per week. Go to Supplementary Score Cards

 3.    Clause 23 (B) Submit cards for a General Play review.

          This option is available to all members who believe their handicap is too high.
          Submit a series of cards over a 4-6  week period, with scores less than Standard Scratch,
          i.e. 65 for men or 68 for ladies.

         In addition :-

    Clause 23 (A) - The Annual Review

     Each year the Handicap Committee carries out a review  of all members  handicaps and can make adjustments based on performances in :-  KO competitions, Club matches etc. and on General play,
Handicaps can be raised as well as lowered


This review will normally take place during January & February, with any changes notified by 1st March.
