Well done to Colin Cornhill who has won the Sunday Eclectic 2010 with a nett 53.0 just beating Malcolm Charman by 0.3 of a shot. Gerry Matthews was 3rd with a nett 54.3

Congratulations to Barry Petch and Lin Halls who have won the Summer Mixed Pairs 2010 beating Joe Sheridan and Pat Oakley in the Final.
The late entry fee for Sunday competitions has been reduced to £2.00 for a trial period by the Committee.
Congratulations to the Horne Park Juniors who have just won their 1st round match of the Surrey Boys KO ( The Fairways ). They played Addington Palace away and were trailing 4-2 for the 2nd leg of the match which was at Horne on Sunday 9th May. The 6 boys who played at home managed a fantastic 5-1 win which secured a 7-5 win in the tie. The Juniors will meet either Woodcote Park or Epsom in the next round. Well done to all the boys in the squad who played: Sam Lloyd, Joe Lloyd, Morgan James, Anthony Spicer, Jacob Chenery, Shane Robinson, Max Charman & Luke Martin. This was a really good win against a very strong club and all the boys should be proud of the way in which they competed and represented both themselves and HPGC.
Congratulations to Roger Wood & Lorraine Everard on winning the Winter Mixed Pairs 2009-2010. They played against Barry Petch & Linn Halls in a well matched final but came out on top winning in style 6 & 5. This was the first year of this new event and it was well supported. Prizes & a club trophy will be awarded later in the year to the finalists.
Well done to to Chris Shead & John Roffey on winning their 1st round match away at Coulsdon Court GC. They now play Surrey Downs at home in the 2nd round, Good luck.
Ladies win against the Juniors
Well done to the Ladies team who played and won a club match against the Junior section on Saturday 8th May. Each team of 12 players competed in a four ball betterball format. A fun time was had by all and the Ladies came out worthy winners 3.5 - 2.5. This was a first match for a number of the younger juniors and was a great experience for them. Thanks to the Ladies who played for supporting and encouraging the Juniors.

Jacob Chenery the Junior Captain won his 1st round match of the Surrey Boy's Knockout winning 6 & 4 away at Banstead Downs.
Anthony Spicer is through to the 3rd round of the Surrey Boy's KO
Anthony played at Coombe Wood golf club in the 2nd round and won his match 3 and 2 against a boy who plays of 5. A superb 40 yard sandwedge shot on the 16th (straight in) helped seal the victory.
In the Christies Cup 1st round Shane Robinson, Jacob Chenery & Max Charman played away at Chipstead GC and won by 6 points. They meet Betchworth Park at home in the 2nd round.
Jacob Chenery, Ross Milne, Anthony Spicer, Sam Lloyd, Joe Lloyd, Guy Raeburn & Jessica Miles have been selected by Surrey to attend county coaching.
