Captains Charity
This year the Captains Charity is Chestnut Tree House Hospice which cares for children & their loved ones.

Horne Park Men's Open 2008
The men's open was held on the 10th August and 71 competitors from many clubs entered competing for Gross and Scratch prizes. On a very windy day Horne Park junior Mark Flitton shot a fantastic net 64 to win the trophy on countback for the second year in succession from fellow club junior Max Everett-Rose who has just been selected for Surrey under 18's. They both shot gross 68's which were the 2 lowest gross rounds of the day and finished 1st and second in the gross competition 2 shots ahead of Horne Park Director Matt Allen who plays of a +1 handicap. Mark Flitton Max Everett-Rose
Congratulations to Mark Flitton who has won the Club Championship for 2008 he shot a wonderful 65 to break the Junior course record in the 1st round and then followed this up by going one shot better and setting a new Junior course record with a gross 64 in the second round with a birdie on the last hole. His total of 129 for the 2 rounds was an amazing 21 shots clear of the runner up. Mary White was the Ladies Club Champion with a Net 138 total.
The men's match v Rusper away has been rearranged for Saturday 30th August we need 10 x pairs
Congratulations go to Mark Flitton, Max Everett-Rose & Luke Martin who were selected to play for Surrey under 16s
on the7th April v Hampshire at South Winchester Golf Club.
